TRENTON, April 27, 2017—NJSBA’s School Board Candidate’s Kit for the November 7, 2017 election is now available online at staging.njsba.org/candidacy.

The kit includes information about the process of filing for school board candidacy, including a sample nominating petition. It also addresses key dates in the school election process, frequently asked questions about the responsibilities of local school board members, information on the New Jersey School Ethics Act, and other important subjects.

The filing deadline for school board candidacy in the November 2017 election is Monday, July 31. Nominating petitions are filed with the county clerk.
