The New Jersey School Boards Association and the New Jersey PTA will host the annual Legislative Day on Thursday, May 17 at the Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton.

Legislative Day will provide information on issues impacting public school districts, and will allow time for school board members and PTA members to network with other school officials and members of the New Jersey Legislature.

The day will begin with a panel discussion with legislators moderated by Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod, NJSBA executive director. Presentations on timely legislative matters will follow during the morning session.

‘Our eighth annual Legislative Day represents the important, ongoing partnership between NJSBA and the New Jersey PTA,” said Feinsod. “Developments in Trenton have a direct impact on our schools and students. This conference will give school board and PTA members a valuable opportunity to hear the perspective of legislative leaders on the direction of public education in New Jersey.”

The Legislative Day will run from 8:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. (registration begins at 8 a.m.) in the George Washington Ballroom, located in the Patriots Theater at the War Memorial, 1 Memorial Drive, Trenton. Free parking is available. The program offers two Board Member Academy credits.

There is no fee to attend this program, but pre-registration is required. School board members, superintendents, business administrators, and member charter school trustees may register online on the NJSBA website.
