hespeCommissioner of Education David Hespe will address the state of education in New Jersey on Tuesday, October 27 at 2 p.m. during Workshop 2015. The commissioner’s presentation will take place in the Atlantic City Convention Center’s Exhibit Hall Theater.

Hespe will provide an assessment of New Jersey’s progress toward implementing education initiatives, give a look into the future, and discuss how state and local school leaders can most effectively work together to meet the goal of preparing students for college and careers.

About Workshop The annual Workshop Conference, the largest training and information conference for school officials in the state, will offer more than 200 individual sessions to New Jersey’s local school officials. The conference draws more than 7,000 attendees and exhibitors, and is a destination where educational leaders from across New Jersey can come to find solutions to the challenges they face in their school districts. School officials attending Workshop can learn ways to lower district operating costs, technology solutions for their districts, methods for improving student achievement, ways to integrate STEAM and sustainability into the curriculum, and ideas on creating healthier schools.

Registration/Pricing The cost of Workshop group registration for boards of education and member charter schools is $1,300. The group registration covers up to 14 team members, which may include school board members, the business administrator, superintendent, facilities manager, curriculum coordinator and technology director. Registration must be handled by the school business administrator. Individual member registration is $250. School business administrators may start the registration process online at any time, but are encouraged to download and review the registration instructions prior to registering.
