As part of its commitment to helping schools across New Jersey reach their sustainability goals, NJSBA, in collaboration with Sustainable Jersey for Schools, is offering members and school district personnel several opportunities to attend a one-day Sustainable Practices Working Session.

In these sessions, participants will review a Sustainability Wellness Check, which will be in alignment with the Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification program. Board members will receive four board member academy credits and four Green Leader credits for participating in this working session.

In cooperation with the NJ School Building and Grounds Association, the Sustainable Practices Working Sessions offer six Certified Educational Facilities Manager (CEFM) professional development credits. Attendance can also contribute toward the minimum sustainability training requirements for Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification.

The programs are sponsored by the Educational Leadership Foundation of New Jersey, and are offered at no cost to New Jersey school leaders.

All programs will run from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.) Pre-registration is required and seats are limited. The program includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
