The reorganization meeting is the first meeting of the new board, and important business is conducted. New board members are sworn in, and typically the board leadership is decided. What actions does a board need to take at this meeting? What happens if the board cannot come to a decision on items such as who should be board president? What if someone cannot attend this meeting?

On Thursday, December 15 at 4 p.m., Conversations on New Jersey Education, NJSBA’s program over BlogTalkRadio.com, will feature a special podcast on the board reorganization meeting discussing these issues and more. NJSBA host Ray Pinney will be joined by Theresa Lewis, an NJSBA Field Service Representative and Michael Kaelber, Director of NJSBA’s Legal and Policy Department.
