The New Jersey School Boards Association is hosting two regional programs on Saturday, March 3, to take an in-depth look at school funding.

In New Jersey, state funding of our schools has been an arduous journey spanning almost fifty years. It is an issue that has confronted every governor and legislator, and even Supreme Court justices in New Jersey since 1970.  In 2018, it seems that while we have a school funding formula, it is one which has been difficult to fund.  School Funding 101 will take a look at how we got to where we are; how the school funding formula is calculated; and where we might be going in the future.

Program Information The programs run from 9:30 – 11: 30 a.m. (registration beginning at 9 a.m.) at two regional locations, and costs $49 per person. Those interested are encouraged to ask their school business administrator to register them online. The program offers two Board Member Academy credits.
