Angelo Natoli, a Westville resident who served on the Gateway Regional High School Board for 40 years, including 24 years as president of the board, died on Jan. 31. He was also a member of the Westville Boro Board of Education. He was 80 years old.

Born in Cortland, NY, he was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, and spent more than 40 years working in the accounting department for Freedom International.

In addition to his board of education service, he was active in several community groups. He was a member of the Westville Volunteer Fire Department for 52 years, serving as president for more than 30 years, and a member of the Westville Lions Club. He coached the Westville Senior Starletts for 26 years and was an officer with the Tri-County Softball Association.

He is survived by his wife Linda; children Nelson W. Wiest, Sheri Propster and her husband Randy; grandchildren Emily and Allison Wiest; sister Grace Tobin, daughter-in-law Paula Wiest; several sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret, and his brother Anthony Natoli.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 5 after 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Holy Angels Worship Center, 96 Green Avenue, Woodbury. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in the worship center.
