On Thursday, March 3, at the Princeton Marriott at Forrestal, NJSBA will host a training program offering a variety of sessions on advancing digital learning in the classroom. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with continental breakfast and registration starting at 8:30 a.m. This program offers four Board Member Academy credits.

NJDOESession

The day will begin with an interactive session discussing the primary goal shared by all educational institutions – preparing students for college and career. The session will be led by Evo Popoff, New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) chief innovation officer and intervention officer/assistant commissioner; and Laurence Cocco, director, NJDOE Office of Educational Technology. Popoff and Cocco will also discuss the initiatives the NJDOE has launched over the past few years to provide support for the implementation of digital learning strategies and environments.

The conference will also include breakout sessions; a keynote address featuring iSchool Initiative founder and CEO, Travis Allen, a tour of the Digital Learning Revolution mobile classroom, and “Lunch and Learn,” a program that combines lunch with the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions on a variety of hot topics involving digital learning.
