On Saturday, March 4, New Jersey School Boards Association, in conjunction with the U.S. Army, will present an action-packed training day on the integrative STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education and career opportunities available through the U.S. Army.

The program will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.) at the Joint Base MDL, 2270 Fort Dix Road, Fort Dix, NJ 08640.

This program, presented in a military setting, will offer hands-on demonstrations of support and resources transferable to a school setting to help enhance the integration of STEAM in schools and districts.

Program features include:

  • Demonstration of the integrative process for STEAM education
  • Showcase of Army i-STEAM careers
  • I-STEAM resources for your school district
  • Learn about NJSBA I-STEAM support

Cost and Registration The cost is $99 per person, and the program offers 4 Board Member Academy credits. Registration of school board members and other district staff that have been reported to NJSBA through the completion of the district census form may be completed online, but only by the school business administrator who must attach a scanned copy of the purchase order with the registration.
