The census of school board members and charter school trustees is vitally important to help ensure school board members can fulfill their leadership requirements. School business administrators should review and update the annual NJSBA Membership Census as soon as possible.

Providing accurate census information to NJSBA benefits both board members and business administrators, making it easier to use NJSBA’s benefits and online functions. Accurate information also allows NJSBA to communicate with members, and is required so that members can:

  • Fulfill their Mandated Training requirements
  • Register for NJSBA training programs
  • Register for the Annual Workshop conference
  • Earn professional development credit
  • Receive important news and advocacy updates

The board census must be completed by school business administrators only. To review or update board census information, school business administrators should visit the NJSBA website at staging.njsba.org and log into “Board Management.” Instructions have been sent via email. School business administrators who have not received instructions should notify NJSBA via email at [email protected].

District board members, administrators and other district staff may be added, deleted, and modified from within the form. School business administrators must fill out ALL required fields and use beginning and end dates for each individual board member as appropriate. Any additional comments may be added at the bottom of the form.

It is very important that there is an email address for each individual, so that NJSBA has a means to contact school board members via email about state-required Mandated Training, and other vital information.

For questions regarding the census, please contact [email protected].
