NJSBA Tech Conference Held
Educators, technology experts, school board members and others attended NJSBA’s fifth annual technology conference, held Friday, March 9. The conference, “The Future Starts Now,” offered training on integrating technology in schools, school security, and the Future Ready Schools – New Jersey initiative.
A firsthand account of how one school district, Woodbridge, is using technology to enhance teaching and learning was featured in the morning keynote session. Here, Woodbridge Assistant Superintendent John Bader leads a panel of educators who discussed the district’s steps taken, successes, and progress over the last four years.Conference attendees and technology companies had the opportunity to network during a working lunch session. Here, representatives of SHI International Corp. speak with an attendee.Breakout sessions featured smaller-group discussions on topics such as “Threats, Trends and Emerging Security Controls,” “Mobility and Smart Devices,” “The Modern Classroom,” and more.School safety and technology were discussed in many presentations.
