To highlight the talent and skills of New Jersey public school students, the annual NJSBA/NJASA/NJASBO Workshop Conference will showcase several student performances. The students will perform on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 on the exhibit floor at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

The annual Workshop training conference, the largest training event for New Jersey’s local school officials, will take place from Monday, Oct. 23 to Thursday, Oct. 26.

Schools and districts are encouraged to submit an application to perform at the annual Workshop. NJSBA is looking for students to sing, dance “step,” or play music to energize the audience. This is an opportunity to showcase school and district programs from across New Jersey. NJSBA will reimburse schools up to $500 for their transportation costs upon receipt of an invoice for expenses. Performances should be 15 minutes or less and performance groups are limited to a maximum of 10 students.

All submissions will receive equal consideration. The deadline for receiving the completed Student Performance Proposal Form is Friday, May 12, 2017. Those submitting proposals will be notified of the Association’s decision by mid-July. For more information, contact Lauren Cuervo, NJSBA marketing manager, via email.
