The New Jersey Government Information Sciences (NJ-GMIS) is hosting its eighth annual NJ-GMIS Technology Education Conference on Thursday, April 6, at the Palace at Somerset Park located at 333 Davidson Ave, Somerset, NJ 08873. The conference will run from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., with breakfast starting at 8 a.m.

Discover new technology and the digital communication tools that are changing the ways governments communicate with their constituents, discuss management issues, and learn about the cyber-threats that organizations face, and what can be done about them. There will also be networking opportunities.

Session topics include using state and cooperative contracts to buy technology goods and services, “eDiscovery,” innovative crisis response tools, the “Internet of Things,” and a keynote address by Dr. Edward Felten, a professor at Princeton University, and a former U.S. Deputy Chief Technology Officer.
