On Friday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., NJSBA is conducting a field trip to Joint Base Maguire, Fort Dix, and Lakehurst demonstrating the technology and engineering utilized across the military.

School officials are invited to attend to learn about ways the U.S. Army can assist their districts with advancing student achievement, through free training and resources.

During the tour, attendees will visit some of the organizations across the military, including the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team, medical, and the fixed wing and rotary aviation units. The day will include lunch at the Joint Base Dining Facility.

Registration Information This program is free, and open to all N.J. public school leaders and district staff interested in learning more about I-STEAM education. School officials may register online for this program. Seating is limited to 40 registrants. The registration deadline is Thursday, Dec. 7.

All registrants must be a U.S. citizen and be able to prove citizenship at the facility entrance.

Who Should Attend? In addition to school board members, business administrators, and superintendents, all district staff members who play a role in I-STEAM implementation are welcome to attend.
