The New Jersey Education Foundation Partnership (NJEFP) is now accepting nominations for the organization’s inaugural education foundation awards.

NJEFP is a statewide organization dedicated to enhancing public education in New Jersey by growing and strengthening local education foundations (LEFs) through education, training, collaboration and advocacy.

Local education foundations are independent nonprofit entities that work in partnership with school districts and communities to increase student achievement and build public support for public schools. LEFs are usually created by community leaders to provide additional funding and resources, outside of taxpayer-funded programs, for school districts.

“We are privileged to see all the good works being done by education foundations in New Jersey,” notes NJEFP President Randy Davis. “These awards will provide an opportunity for more people to understand the tremendous impact education foundations are making in New Jersey each and every day.”

The award categories include:

  • Outstanding Education Foundation
  • Outstanding Education Foundation Program
  • Outstanding Achievement in Fundraising
  • Outstanding Partner – Funder
  • Outstanding Partner – Superintendent

Applications are now available on the NJEFP website. The deadline to submit is Jan. 10, 2018. The judging committee is comprised of NJEFP partners who are also national and state leaders in the education foundation community.

Awards will be announced in early February and winners will be recognized on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Inaugural NJEFP Education Foundation Awards luncheon at the Mountain View Golf Club in Ewing, NJ. This luncheon will shine a light on education foundations, funders of these foundations, and key community partners.

All education foundations in the state of New Jersey are eligible to enter.
