Heather Melissa Brown, a member of the Tinton Falls Board of Education, died Nov. 12 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. She was 35 years old.
A resident of Shrewsbury Township, she graduated from Monmouth Regional High School in 1998 and attended Kean University. For the last 10 years, she worked as an operations analyst at Commvault Systems in Tinton Falls.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Pierce, daughter Heavin Leigh Pierce, parents Susan Martens Brown and Harold Brown, and siblings Erik Brown and Kirt Brown and his wife Janine. Also surviving are her nephew, niece and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday Nov. 18 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ 07701. A celebration of life service will be on Thursday Nov. 19, at 11 am at Luther Memorial Church, 818 Tinton Ave., Tinton Falls, NJ 07724.
