In May, Governor Christie directed the New Jersey Department of Education to conduct a review of New Jersey’s English language arts and mathematics standards, known as the Common Core State Standards. The viewpoint of stakeholders, including local board of education members, will be essential to the review process.

To obtain feedback on the Common Core State Standards, the NJDOE developed a survey addressing each of the Standards from Kindergarten through Grade 12. To access the New Jersey Standards Review Survey go to:www.nj.gov/education/standards/survey/.

School districts should encourage parents and staff to participate in the survey.

The survey will be available through October 9.
