Bergen County Scenes: School Board Member of Year, Teacher of Year, Recognized
The Bergen County School Boards Association recognized both the state School Board Member of the Year and Teacher of the Year at a recent meeting.
The Pascack Valley Regional HS “Bro Squad,” an a capella vocal group led by New Jersey Teacher of the Year Argine Safari, performed at a recent meeting of the Bergen County School Boards Association. Safari and the New Jersey School Board Member of the Year, Sheli Dansky of River Edge, both of whom are from Bergen County, were honored at the meeting.Attendees at the meeting of the Bergen County School Boards Association included, L-R: Acting Commissioner of Education Kimberley Harrington; Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi , (39th Dist.); N.J. School Board Member of the Year Sheli Dansky; Pascack Valley Regional High School teacher Argine Safari, the N.J. Teacher of the Year; NJSBA Executive Director Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod.
