The U.S. Green Building Council New Jersey Chapter (USGBC NJ) is currently seeking nominations for a student award that recognizes the importance of sustainability in education. The award is for a project that demonstrates student efforts and contributions toward building a healthier environment.

The awards honor students in public or private schools. There are two student categories: K-12; and higher education. A winner will be chosen in each of the two categories. Each winner will receive a $500 award.

The deadline for submission has been extended to Jan. 30, 2017.

The award winners will be contacted in advance, and the award will be presented to the student award winner at the 14th Annual Awards Gala on March 30, 2017. For info on the gala, click here.
