The Innovations in Special Education Awards

The Innovations in Special Education Awards program is part of Special Education Week 2018 in New Jersey, sponsored by the New Jersey School Boards Association and ASAH…serving the private special education community since1974. If you have a successful, innovative program that has been in place for at least one school year (on or before September 2016), please tell us about it!

Since it began in 2002, the annual Innovations Award program has drawn wide interest from the state’s special education community.  Last year’s program drew 56 entries from public school districts and private schools for the disabled. Seven of the entries were honored during a luncheon reception, held in conjunction with Special Education Week.

An article from NJSBA’s magazine, School Leader, about last year’s honored programs can be found on the NJSBA web site at staging.njsba.org/innovations-2017.

To access the entry form click here. Complete the form, print it out and mail it to Innovations Award, NJSBA 413 West State Street, NJ  08618 or email it to [email protected], along with any supplemental materials. Entries must be received in the NJSBA office by 4:30 p.m., March 30, 2018.
