Improving the well-being of families is the goal of this program in Maurice River Township. Through a partnership with the Family Strengthening Network, the program works to increase family engagement and meet the needs of the community.
The program offers free, personal and confidential sessions with a trained family advocate, who helps families develop a clear path to accomplish their goals. Through the sessions, families gain the tools, resources and opportunities necessary to achieve their plans. Families attend educational seminars and small group meetings, and take part in “life coaching,” with family advocates, who are dedicated to supporting and encouraging families, and thinking “outside the box.”
Going beyond that, the Family Strengthening Network strives to incorporate fun in the mix, providing events and community volunteering opportunities that reinforce bonds within families.
