TRENTON, June 18, 2018–NJSBA’s video series“Conversations on School Security,” contains important information for school board members, administrators, and all district staff members who play a role in school safety including, but not limited to, teachers, school resource officers, school security guards, facilities managers and parents.

Topics include The School Resource Officer; Police and Schools: Building a Collaborative Relationship; Security Staffing: Options for School Districts; Administrators: Looking at Schools with an Eye Toward Security; Police as Part of the School Community; What is a Class III Officer?; Social-Emotional Character Development; and Security Starts with the Students.

Experts in law enforcement and school security, as well as school officials, delve into these and other issues with Ray Pinney, host of NJSBA’s online interview program, “Education Matters.”
