Student discipline issues can interfere with student learning. Stress–whether it affects students grappling with issues at home or dealing with college-application pressures–can also stand in the way of student learning.

The Asbury Park school district has found that introducing “mindfulness” into the school day has significantly helped the school culture and learning.  Please join “Conversations on New Jersey Education” host Ray Pinney at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20, as he discusses mindfulness in our schools with Alisha DeLorenzo, an Asbury Park social-emotional learning coordinator, who integrated a mindfulness program in the district.

Conversations on New Jersey Education, broadcast over BlogTalkRadio.com, is similar to a live radio talk show. The shows air live, but are also available to listen to later online, or on a mobile device.

Listeners only need a computer with high speed Internet access. To hear the live show or past recorded broadcasts, visit www.blogtalkradio.com/njsba. Listeners may call in to speak with the host by dialing (347) 989-8904.
