The Innovations in Special Education Awards will be presented next month. Judging for the Innovations winners, which were selected from among 50 entries, took place on April 12 at NJSBA headquarters.

Judges included (l-r) Cynthia Hoenes-Saindon, acting ombudsman, New Jersey Department of Education Office of Special Education Policy and Procedure; Elaine Lerner, New Jersey Department of Education Office of Special Education (retired); Sean Murphy, vice president of education, principal/director of The Matheny School; and Irene LeFebvre, member, NJSBA Board of Directors and chair, NJSBA Special Education Committee.

The Innovations Awards will be presented at the annual Innovations Luncheon, on May 21 at the Princeton Marriott.
