Workshop 2018 conference registration and hotel reservations are now available online.
The annual Workshop training conference, the largest training event for New Jersey’s local school officials, will take place from Monday, Oct. 22 to Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Workshop registration and hotel reservations must be handled by the school business administrator only.
Expanded Group Registration The Workshop group registration now covers 20 team members (up from 18 team members) and may include the following: the school board, business administrator, superintendent, facilities managers, curriculum professionals, IT staff, principals, and other district professionals.
Pricing/Early Bird Rates From April 2 through June 30, NJSBA will offer a special “early bird” group registration rate of $1,500 for up to 20 team members. The regular group registration rate of $1,600 will go into effect on July 1.
Onsite Badge Printing All attendees will print their own badges at the registration area at Workshop, using a barcode they will receive via email. (Accommodations will be made for attendees who forget to bring their barcodes.) Please confirm that the email address for each registrant is correct during the registration process.
Housing Information Harrah’s is the headquarters hotel. A block of rooms has been secured at a number of hotels in Atlantic City for Workshop 2018 attendees, and information is available on the Workshop 2018 website. Reservations can be made online or by downloading and completing the housing form and faxing it to AC Central at (609) 383-8616. All housing reservations are being handled by AC Central. The last day to pay for/make hotel reservations is September 21.
Four Days of Training/Travel Waiver Workshop will provide four days of training, including New Board Member Orientation, on Monday, Oct. 22. Individuals whose one-way commute to the Atlantic City Convention Center exceeds 50 miles may obtain reimbursement from their school district, charter school, or renaissance school for overnight lodging for October 22, 23, and 24, per the travel waiver issued by the New Jersey Department of Education.
