reesPatricia Rees has recently joined the NJSBA staff as a County Activities Coordinator.  She will serve the counties in the northern part of the state.

Rees served on the Branchburg Board of Education for 12 years, holding the offices of president and vice president, as well as chair of the negotiations, personnel, curriculum and community relations committees.

An active member of the Somerset County School Boards Association, Rees also served as the county’s alternate delegate to the NJSBA Board of Directors. She earned the Certificated Board member designation from NJSBA’s Board Member Academy in 2006.

Rees graduated from Douglass College of Rutgers University with a B.A. in history, and also earned a master’s degree in human resources management from Rutgers.  Most recently she was program coordinator for the Greater Raritan Workforce Investment Board in Somerville.

She has also been active in other community activities; she was elected to the Branchburg Township Committee in 2012, and served as deputy mayor, and spent 10 years serving on the Branchburg Zoning Board.

She has three adult children and lives in Branchburg.
