As many School Board Notes readers know, NJSBA field service representative – and beloved staff member – Charlene Zoerb died in June after a long battle with cancer. NJSBA thanks the many board members and administrators who have expressed condolences to the Association.
While Charlene was ill, Mary Ann Friedman, a field service representative for 7 years, worked with the districts that had been served by Charlene. NJSBA is pleased to announce that Mary Ann will be the permanent field service representative for those districts. That includes boards of education in Atlantic, Cumberland and Cape May counties.
Before serving as a field service representative, Mary Ann was the president of the Millstone Township Board of Education. Additionally, she earned the Certified Board Member award and served as a trainer for the National School Boards Association.
