New Jersey school board members are urged to join with local board members from around the country who will be in Washington, D.C. from Jan. 24-26 for the National School Boards Association’s (NSBA) Advocacy Institute.

The Advocacy Institute will feature training sessions to help board members develop a winning strategy to make them better advocates for their local school district – at both the national and the state level.

The conference will also allow members to expand their network by sharing best practices, challenges and successes with board members from other states.

New Jersey board members will take part in “A Day on the Hill,” to visit the state’s congressional delegation. A congressional breakfast is tentatively planned for that day.

Registration The registration fee for the Advocacy Institute is $695. Online registration is available. Hotel accommodations are available at the Marriot Marquis Washington, D.C.; registration is available here.
