In recent days, the nj.com news website has been running a series of articles centered around FieldTurf, a manufacturer of artificial turf fields, and its Duraspine turf product.

The articles allege that turf fields, which have been installed by many local school districts in New Jersey, deteriorate more quickly than expected and may not last as long as districts were led to believe.

Individual districts that have installed the product and have questions are advised to consult with their own board attorneys.
