As part of NJSBA’s efforts to engage board members in advocacy, a special meeting of the NJSBA Board of Directors, County Association Leadership, Legislative Committee and Urban Boards Committee will take place on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association FEA Conference Center, 12 Centre Drive, Monroe Township.  The meeting had originally been scheduled for Dec. 12.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m., with registration and Continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., and is expected to conclude by noon.

NJSBA’s Strategic Plan calls for strengthening advocacy at the federal, state and local levels through partnership and collaboration with outside organizations. At the Jan. 16 meeting, there will be a review of current legislative developments, discussion on the Association’s 2016-2017 Legislative Advocacy Agenda, and on the role that various NJSBA groups can play in advancing that agenda.

Registration for the meeting is available online.
