Rider University, in partnership with the New Jersey School Boards Association, will host an Environmental Sustainability Symposium for high school students, board members and educators to increase awareness of environmental issues.

The program will offer a series of workshops to students as well as school representatives, on topics such as climate change, conservation, global warming, sustainable business models, and urban environmental initiatives.

Rider faculty and external presenters will lead the workshops for students, while NJSBA will educate school board members and other school representatives on the intersection between sustainability and long-term cost savings for school districts.

The symposium will take place on Thursday, April 30 from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. on the Rider University campus located in Lawrenceville.

The event is free of charge, thanks to grants provided by the TD Charitable Foundation and Janssen Pharmaceuticals.

Board members can review the program schedule and register online here.
