NJSBA is offering two opportunities to attend a program exploring the hidden biases in classrooms. The first will be on March 17 at Middlesex County Community College at 2600 Woodbridge Ave., Edison and the other on March 18 at NJM Insurance Group at 301 Sullivan Way, Ewing Township.

Keynote Session

The day will include a keynote session from Dr. Gerry House, head of the Institute for Student Achievement (ISA), which is a division of ETS. Before heading ISA, Dr. House was a school superintendent in several districts, including Memphis, Tennessee and Chapel Hill, NC.  A few months ago, Dr. House was invited to the first-ever White House summit on reinventing high schools.

The day will conclude with an open panel discussion which will give attendees an opportunity to talk about issues in their schools and how to combat those issues. Watch this video for a sneak peak of the program.
