The New Jersey School Boards Association, in collaboration with NASA, is hosting its fourth all-day, hands-on integrative STEAM program Friday, April 28, at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

NJSBA’s 4th Annual I-STEAM NASA Field Trip offers 4 NJSBA Board Member Academy credits. The member rate for the program is $129 and includes all meals and program materials.

About the Program Back by popular demand, the NASA I-STEAM Field Trip provides New Jersey school leaders with information on ways NASA can help support integrative STEAM leadership decisions and curriculum development in school districts.

This year participants will interact with NASA scientists and engineers, as well as share STEM laboratory ideas (such as 3D printing, virtual goggles, etc.) to help with the implementation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Participants will experience a full day of hands-on learning, and witness unique system problem solving, as only NASA can offer it.

Program features include:

  • A tour of the Goddard Space Flight Center;
  • Presentations on educational resources and engineering design challenges available to your district through NASA;
  • NASA makerspace and STEM Laboratory ideas;
  • Collaborative real world problem-solving with NASA Goddard engineers from the Mission Design Laboratory;
  • Connections to STEAM employability skills at NASA; and
  • Action steps for your district’s STEAM plan which align with NASA resources.
