Are your schools “future ready”? The January/February issue of School Leader magazine features a special section on what schools are doing to gear up for digital learning.

The section includes a case study on how one district, Franklin Township schools in Somerset County, achieved its Future Ready Schools- NJ certification; an update on the Future Ready Schools- NJ certification process and changes that are coming for this year, as well as an article about TED-Ed clubs in New Jersey school.

Also included in the issue are an interview with Bruce Young, New Jersey’s School Board Member of the Year, and an in-depth look at the winning entries in the student invention and innovation contest, STEAM Tank.

In addition there is an article, “#MeToo in Schools,” that examines the legal aspects of sexual harassment in schools; an update on the new NJSBA superintendent evaluation system and an examination of how broader educational opportunities can help students who may not be headed to college.

School Leader magazine is published six times a year and is mailed to all local board members and charter school trustees, as well as school administrators and other educational leaders. The digital edition of the January/February issue is online now; the paper edition is in the hands of readers.
