NJSBA hosted a work session with the NJ Department of Education (NJDOE) and state legislators on Feb. 6, to provide a clear understanding of the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan for New Jersey. The meeting, held at NJSBA headquarters in Trenton, was an informal work session, allowing legislative representatives to ask questions of the department. Plans are for a future follow-up meeting.
