On Jan. 6-8, NJSBA held the first of its two annual weekend New Board Member Orientation programs. The program, held at the Princeton Marriott in Plainsboro, was limited to approximately 100 attendees, and included large and small group sessions on topics including school law, ethics, policy, school finance, labor relations, advocacy, the board-superintendent relationship, community relations, and more.
The program was free of charge to attendees, and was funded through a grant made to the Educational Leadership Foundation of New Jersey (ELFNJ) by the New Jersey Schools Insurance Group.
