Every year in New Jersey an estimated five hundred new school board members begin their service on their local boards of education.  They want to be effective, but there is so much to learn.  What can these new board members learn from others who have recently been in that same situation? What can veteran school board members do to make the transition the best for all?

Join Ray Pinney, NJSBA director of member engagement and host of NJSBA’s online radio program, Conversations on New Jersey Education, as he discusses these lessons with school board members Kathy Helewa of Warren Township and Jeffrey Klein of Fair Lawn. The show will be broadcast on Friday, Jan 22 at 4 p.m.

About the Program Conversations on New Jersey Education, NJSBA’s program over BlogTalkRadio.com, is similar to a live radio talk show, except it is broadcast through the Internet. The 45-minute shows air live, but recordings are also available to download later, or to listen to “on demand” online. To hear the live show or past recorded broadcasts, visit NJSBA’s BlogTalk Radio web page.
