Most school districts in New Jersey hold school board reorganization in early January. In advance of this event, NJSBA has posted online resources for school boards.
A copy of the oath of office that school board members must take is available online, as is an extensive frequently asked questions document. Topics such as swearing in a new member, election of a board president and vice president, and committee membership are among those covered in the FAQ.
Board members are also reminded that each school board in the state has an NJSBA field service representative. Field Service Representative (FSR) assignments are also listed online.
