The New Jersey School Boards Association Communications Department is the recipient of the 2018 APEX Award for Publication Excellence (Magazines, Journals & Tabloids- Print +32 pages category) for the November/December 2017 issue of School Leader magazine.

The annual APEX Awards, sponsored by Communications Concepts, Inc. are based on excellence in editorial content, graphic design and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. NJSBA has won the APEX Award for Publication Excellence before. In 2011, the online version of School Board Notes earned the APEX Award; while in 2008, School Leader was similarly honored.
