Workshop 2018, taking place Monday, Oct. 22 through Thursday, Oct.25 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, is the largest professional development event for school leaders in New Jersey.

Early Bird Pricing NJSBA will offer a special “early bird” group registration rate of $1,500 for up to 20 team members through June 30. The regular group registration rate of $1,600 will go into effect on July 1. Workshop registration and hotel reservations  must be handled by the school business administrator only.

Keynote Speaker, Steven Van Zandt On Tuesday Oct., 23, the internationally-known musician, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the New Jersey Hall of Fame, will serve as keynote speaker at the NJSBA/NJASA/NJASBO Workshop Conference 2018.

Van Zandt, whose songs have been performed by artists such as Jackson Browne, Pearl Jam, Jimmy Cliff, Damian Marley, Margo Price, Gary U.S. Bonds, Darlene Love, Nancy Sinatra, Brian Setzer and Black Uhuru, will address the Workshop crowd on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Exhibit Floor Theater. Expanded Group Registration The group rate has been expanded to include up to 20 team members for one low price. Workshop 2018 will feature over 250 training programs and has something for every member of the district team, including school board members (who can earn Board Member Academy credits); business administrators (who can earn QPA, or Qualified Purchasing Agent, credits); superintendents; principals; charter school trustees and lead persons; school technology professionals; school facilities managers (who can earn CEFM, or Certified Educational Facilities Manager Professional Development, credits); curriculum directors; teachers and more. Team members can stay one day or all four days.
