To help the state’s public schools access non-tax funding, the New Jersey School Boards Association offers a Grant Support Services Program through the Grants Office LLC. Eligible New Jersey districts are encouraged to apply for the following new grant.

The McKinney-Vento Education of Homeless Children and Youth Program grant supports the establishment of regional partnerships between local education agencies and non-profit or social service organizations that have a history of serving homeless populations. These funds can be used to provide supplemental education services to students, in addition to making referrals to appropriate agencies (counseling, health, transportation, etc.) that can support homeless student success.

Approximately $512,128 is anticipated to be available in total funding for fiscal year 2016 to fund up to eight awards. Awards will last for two years.

Applications must be electronically submitted online via the Electronic Web Enabled Grant (EWEG) system by 4 p.m. on March 24, 2016.

For more information regarding grant requirements for eligibility, submission, and funding priorities, please refer to the full opportunity summary – available through the Members Only portal of the NJSBA Grant Support Program website.
