Special education is an area of public education which can often lead to legal entanglements.  Federal and state court decisions – reaching as far as the U.S. Supreme Court — can affect what happens in the classroom. The acronyms and jargon are extensive: one of the cornerstones in special education placements and decisions, for example, is FAPE (free and appropriate public education).

On Thursday, June 1, at 11:30 a.m., join NJSBA host Ray Pinney on School Law Today as he discusses what board members and school administrators should know about FAPE, IDEA, and the U.S. Supreme Court Case, Endrew F. v. Douglas County School District. Featured will be John B. Comegno II, from the Comegno Law Group, P.C.
