New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney will be the keynote speaker at the NJSBA/NJPTA Legislative Day on Thursday, May 25, 2017.  The event will be held at the War Memorial in Trenton from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast.

Sweeney previously sat on the Gloucester County Board of Freeholders and was freeholder director from 1997 to 2010. He has served in the Senate since 2002 and has been Senate President since 2010.  Sweeney has also served as a local school board member. Currently, he is the chair of the Select Committee on School Funding Fairness. His keynote address will take place at noon. Lunch will follow.

The NJSBA/NJPTA Legislative Day is open to school board members, administrators and PTA members.  The event is free and registration is available online. Free parking is available at 1 Layfette Blvd., Trenton, in the parking garage adjacent to the War Memorial building.
