Kent Weisert, Bloomfield Board of Education

Kent Weisert, a member of the Bloomfield Board of Education, died on Wednesday, Oct. 21. He was 66 years old.

Born in Passaic to the late Frederick and Waleska Weisert, he lived in the same house in Bloomfield for his entire life.

He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in history, and received a J.D. from Rutgers Law School. He went on to practice labor and employment law, as well as general practice law.

In addition to his school board service, he was a proud member of the Society for Musical Arts, and was an avid historian.

He is survived by his daughter, Christianna Zammatore and her husband Thomas; his former wife Deborah; and dear friend Adrienne Pavur. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Jeffrey Scott Radio, Clayton Board of Education

Jeffrey Radio, a member of the Clayton board of Education, died on Oct. 27. He was 43 years old.

Born in Elmer and raised in Clayton, Jeffrey lived for a short time in Rock Hill, SC and later Rockville, MD before returning to Clayton 12 years ago. He was a 1990 graduate of Clayton High School and attended Gloucester County College for business management. Most recently, he was an assistant vice president and branch manager for Sun National Bank in Maple Shade and Evesham.

In addition to his service on the Clayton Board of Education, he was active in the Clayton Education Foundation, served on the Clayton Economic Development Committee, served as president of the Cedar Green Cemetery Board, and was involved with the Clayton Historical Preservation Society. He was a former mayor of Clayton, served on the Clayton Town Council and was a member of the Clayton Special Events Committee. He was a director with the Maple Shade Business Association, chairman of the Maple Shade Advisory Board, and served on the Maple Shade Gazebo Park Committee. Additionally, he was active with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.

He is survived by his wife Nancy; stepchildren William Crompton of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Erin Nizzaardi of Williamstown; four grandchildren, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
