In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, notice is hereby served that the meeting of the New Jersey School Boards Association Resolutions Subcommittee previously scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, at 4 p.m. via video conference at NJSBA headquarters at 413 W. State Street, Trenton.
The meeting is open to the public.
Agenda Set The agenda, to the extent known at this time, will include review and action on one resolution which will come before the Semiannual Delegate Assembly on Dec. 10, 2016. The resolution that will be considered by the subcommittee is listed below, including the sponsor and the topic.
Notice is also provided that the Emergency Resolutions Subcommittee may be required to meet on Dec. 5 if any resolutions are received by the Association to be considered as emergency resolutions, prior to the cutoff date of Nov. 30, for the Delegate Assembly agenda.
Marlboro (Monmouth) The resolution proposes additional language for inclusion in the NJSBA Manual of Positions and Policies on Education to provide that in a due process hearing, the burden of proof should be on the party bringing the suit and not the board.
