The Future Ready Schools – New Jersey (FRS-NJ) certification program was created to support schools with the resources needed to implement digital learning and promote the skills, abilities, and capacities essential for student success in college and career.

The New Jersey School Boards Association is hosting several opportunities for district teams to attend “Are You Future Ready?” Working Sessions at the NJSBA headquarters, 413 West State Street, Trenton. All sessions will run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.) and offer school board members 4 Board Member Academy credits for attending.

The “Are You Future Ready?” Working Sessions will introduce district teams to the Future Ready Schools – NJ (FRS-NJ) certification program, and engage participants in the process of building digital learning into their school or district’s strategic plan. The day includes working sessions where district teams discuss their current digital learning profile, and identify actionable next steps toward creating their strategic plan for digital learning. Presentations will cover best practices, and opportunities to collaborate and network with other district teams. This is a BYOD event; each participant should bring a laptop and headphones to use during the working session.

The sessions are free, sponsored by the Educational Leadership Foundation of New Jersey, and include a continental breakfast, lunch and program materials. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited. Last year, sessions filled up very quickly.
