highland park event

State Sen. Patrick J. Diegnan, Jr. (Leg. Dist. 18) works with students in Highland Park, during a demonstration of “Learning Ally.” Diegnan visited Highland Park Middle School on Oct. 30 for a press conference highlighting Learning Ally, a state program championed through the state budget, that supports students who struggle to overcome print-related disabilities such as dyslexia and visual impairments. More than 9,000 New Jersey students have gained access to tools they need to succeed in school, since the program started two years ago. Also speaking at the press conference were Highland Park Superintendent Scott Taylor; school board president Darcie Cimarusti; and Learning Ally representative Edward Bray.
