The Union County School Boards Association welcomed speakers and presented awards to three boards, at its first meeting of the new school year.

NJSBA Executive Director Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod addressed the Union County School Boards Association, updating them on NJSBA’s summer legislative meeting series, and the Association’s new strategic plan process. In addition to his remarks, Feinsod helped present recertification awards to three school boards, Hillside, Plainfield and Summit.
“Telling Your Story” – how school boards communicate with their communities – was the topic of a panel presentation at the Union County meeting. Taking part were, L to R, Michael Davino, Springfield schools superintendent; Dr. Danny Robertozzi, superintendent, Linden; Dr. Caryn Cooper, Acting Superintendent ,Plainfield; and Rose Acerra, president of the NJ PTA. She spoke about communications from the parent perspective.
