Workshop 2015 is quickly approaching. This year, Workshop will run from Tuesday Oct. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 29 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. “Empowering the 21st Century Student,” the theme of Workshop 2015, represents our hopes and aspirations for New Jersey’s public schools.

The annual Workshop conference, the largest training and information conference for school officials in the state, will offer more than 200 individual sessions to New Jersey’s local school officials. The conference draws more than 7,000 attendees and exhibitors, and is a destination where educational leaders from across New Jersey can come to find solutions to the challenges they face in their school districts.

Housing Deadline A block of rooms has been secured at a number of hotels in Atlantic City. Please review the attendee housing information on the Workshop website. Housing must be handled by the school business administrator. The last day to pay for and to make reservations under the Workshop 2015 block is Monday, Sept. 28.

Registration and Cost The cost of Workshop group registration for boards of education and member charter schools is $1,300. The group registration covers up to 14 team members, which may include school board members, the business administrator, superintendent, facilities manager, curriculum coordinator and technology director. Registration for additional individual school district employees is $250. School business administrators may start the registration process online at any time.

Registration Deadline NJSBA strongly advises that school business administrators register their members for the annual Workshop training conference by Oct. 2 to avoid onsite lines and delays. The badges for attendees registered by Oct. 2 will be mailed to the school business administrator, along with a confirmation letter. Attendees registered after Oct. 2, will be required to go to on-site registration on the second floor of the Atlantic City Convention Center, outside of Hall D, to have their badges printed.

More Information School officials should ask their school business administrator to register their districts for Workshop 2015 as soon as possible. Information on registration, housing, event schedules and special events can be found on theWorkshop website.
