Fall isn’t just back-to-school time, it is also traditionally when the negotiations committees of local boards of education begin the process of bargaining with their employee unions.
To assist boards with the process, the September/October issue of School Leadermagazine features a special section on labor relations, including articles on preparing for bargaining, negotiating health benefits, and districts achieving and increasing the number of concessions in settlements.
The magazine also features articles on the 2015 Innovations in Special Education award winners, and on the fundamentals of good public relations for school districts.
